About this activity
A great-value plan to enjoy both "Twilight Time" and "Starry Night." Stay at the summit from the magic hour at dusk to a sky full of stars with a stargazing guide.
How to enjoy (November)
- Ride the lift up any time between 17:30 and 19:00 (lift 15 min + 5-min walk)
- Watch the sunset and the changing colors of the magic hour at the summit
- From 20:30: stargazing talk by a stargazing guide (about 30 min)
- Last ride down from the summit: 21:15
- The booking screen shows the stargazing talk time (from 20:00), but you can go up from 17:30.
Points
- One ride up lets you enjoy both (no need to come down in between)
- You may come down midway to rest or eat in your car and go up again (about 40 min round trip)
- Online booking closes at 19:00 on the day.
Cloudy days The stargazing talk is cancelled; last boarding up is 19:30 and the last ride down is 20:00. The adult fee becomes 1,500 yen and we refund the 1,000 yen difference (no refund for children).
Capacity The stargazing talk has a capacity of 50 (minimum 10 participants).
Notes
- Please use the Higashinohara parking lot. The lift station is about a 3-minute walk.
- The lift seats 1–2 people. Three or more cannot ride together, even with small children.
- There are no toilets at the summit. Please use the public toilets next to the parking lot beforehand.
- The summit is 854 m high and colder than the lowlands. Please bring a warm jacket.
- It is completely dark after sunset. A light (smartphone is fine) and a picnic mat are handy.
- If you miss the last lift down from the summit, we may treat it as a missing-person case and contact the police.

Cancellations are accepted until the event start time (20:00) on the day. No cancellation fee is charged even for cancellations for personal reasons. *Please cancel your booking yourself. However, if you do not show up without notice, 100% of the fee will be charged. On cloudy days the stargazing talk is cancelled, but the night lift still runs and we refund 1,000 yen per adult (no refund for children). The decision to hold or cancel is made at 13:00 on the day, based on the Weathernews forecast for Sanbe-cho, Oda City, Shimane.
Choose advance or on-site payment at confirmation. Advance payments are refunded according to the cancellation policy. For on-site payment, the operator will bill cancellation or no-show fees according to the cancellation policy.
